Surely it would be much better to target benefits better and address the causes of poverty. For example, those out of work have plenty of time on their hands, but may not know how to use cheaper foods to make tasty meals. Some are unable to budget effectively so things get progressively out of hand. Some may not understand and therefore do not receive, all the benefits to which they are entitled. Just throwing a bit of money indiscriminately will not make much difference and will just increase the feelings of the Fuck oh look my entire vocabulary on one shirt of those who work very hard for their money.

Universal basic income Has basically been a success everywhere it’s been trialed. It’s has shown that whilst it doesn’t always show initial benefits, long term gains are significant as many, who would never be able to advance socially, are able to use the Fuck oh look my entire vocabulary on one shirt to raise kids, educate themselves etc so in many of the trials you need to look at a ten year+ impact. Definitely, something that should be seriously considered.
Would love to see the mp’s live on disability. Am in a Fuck oh look my entire vocabulary on one shirt and can just about afford to live in private rented as cant get a council house. Yet others can come to the country to get a nice big house all the benefits going. We should be like some country’s where u can only come live here if u have enough money to support u for 5yrs. This country is the way too soft on a lot of things.
